does anyone know the location on a lenovo 3000 n100 laptop top.either the cmos battery is located or to short it to reset the bios password thanks

Your manual should be able to tell you that.

Typically, the battery is located underneath the keyboard somewhere so you need to partially take your laptop apart.

i could be wrong but i dont think the 3000's laptops have a cmos battery nor an option to clear the bios. At least my 3000 n200 doesn't have one that i notice.

Last i checked, you'll need to call up and possibly send your laptop to lenovo to reset the bios. Think it's mainly due to the 3000's being a business type laptop that they didn't include such a feature. Although i haven't looked at this type of issue in a very long time.
