Approximate Purchase Date: within a month

Budget Range:
$700 or so

System Usage from Most to Least Important: HTPC

Parts Not Required: need all parts (I do have a big screen with HDMI input)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com, I live near a Microcenter and I am open to other reputable vendors.

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: None

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I am building two PCs, one gamer and one HTPC. This is the gamer and my first build. My current component list comes at about $900. I would prefer to pay $700 total. Any advice on how to do that is welcomed. I do however want to keep in order of priority (1) Bluray player, (2) TV tuner, (3) Big hard drive, (4) WIN 7 OS, (5) HTPC keyboard and (5)HTPC case.

Thank you for reading my post.

Microcenter doesn't have the i5 2300 but the 2400 is $150, 2500k is $180. http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml... But you might have to drop to the i3 2100 at $100 to stick to your budget.

You might also want to look at cheaper h61 mobos. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... I don't know much about tv tuners or htpc cases but that would be the next thing to change to lower price and newegg has a lot of stuff lower.

You said this is the gamer build but I think you mean this is the htpc build. If so you could lower the psu. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
