Hello,
I am building my first gaming computer and would just like something cleared up, specifically,is my motherboard compatible with my Memory. The components in question are as followed:

- Asus M5A87 Motherboard
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-M5A87-Motherboard/dp/B0050LLCF6/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1334601580&sr=1-1

-Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Module Kit

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B-1600Mhz-Vengeance-Memory/dp/B004QBUL1C/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1334608606&sr=1-3

PS, I have been on the motherboards manufacturers website and checked for compatibility - but didn't manage to find much. Thanks in advance.

Yes that ram should be fine. ASUS certified many Corsair modules, not the exact vengeance line but they were 1600Mhz corsiar. You should not have an issue.

Personally I would go with the low profile heat spreaders version to keep my CPU cooler options open. The high profile heat spreaders can get in the way of the larger CPU coolers and offer very little value.
