Did a complete rebuild a few years ago. Below are my current specs curtesy of cpu-z validator. I am quite satisfied with my current rig except the mobo. I bought it before usb 3.0 and sata 6 were really available so right now my hd is only rockin' at sata 3 even though it is sata 6 ready. I believe if i can find the right mobo, this rig will get me another 2 to 3 years no problem. I've got the cpu running at 3.5 no problem so it's plenty quick. Just upgraded my gpu after my old 9600 so died last week. Bottom line is i want the best 1156 mobo out there with usb 3.0 and sata 6.
i know 1156's can be hard to find so if u come across any and can throw me some links i would greatly apreciate it. New only please.

i7-875k, EVGA P55 SLI MB, 8 gig XM3 Corsair 1600 RAM, EVGA 550 TI 2 gig GPU w/ factory oc, XCLIO A380 Case, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2, Thermaltake Black Widow 550w

I recommend you leave it alone. Socket 1156 boards charge a premium for sata 3.0; I changed from sata 2.0 to 3.0 recently and didn't notice much difference; not worth changing boards over. Never use usb 3.0; maybe you have some devices that will work with it. Wait for your next board/cpu/ram upgrade or get this for sata 3.0 controller card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816124045

thanx 4 the advice & u r definitley right about the prices. People want alomost 300 bucks for a good 1156 board with sata6...lol My (then) high end evga sli board was under a 100 brand new over 2 years ago? will that sata 6 card really help any? and can u run ahard drive with the OS thru a pci lane instead of sata header?

The sata card may cut boot times by a few seconds; I've never seen the advertised speed in my personal ssd using hdtune, a free software download. It benchmarks at about 250. Read the newegg review(s) and decide for yourself if it's worth it; I've never used one of these cards.
