PSU: Yes, that one should do fine, although don't skimp on the PSU if you can help it (IE if it's within your budget, consider a Bronze-Certified one of similar wattage.)

As for brands, XFX, HIS, Asus, and Sapphire are all reputable AMD GPU manufacturers; avoid Powercolor (I know this) and Visiontek (I think that's the other bad one). Were it not for price, I would recommend XFX because of their double lifetime warranty (I bought one from them when they were still the same price as everyone else, IE when 6870s came out). Looking at Newegg, while the HIS saves you 5 dollars (AR), my choice would be this neat second-revision DirectCU Asus. I picked up a 2SR Sapphire from Amazon through a slickdeals.net catch (only $170 AR, no, it's not there anymore), and the non-reference cooling really helps.... not to mention you get a $10 Newegg gift card.

EDIT: My advice stems from you ordering via Newegg, I highly recommend it; but it strikes me that you're likely going to go to the store. In that, I can't give you direct pricing, only tell you that you should get a second-revision (non-reference/stock design) card from one of the manufacturers I listed.

I bought everything from neweg except for the coolmaster haf 922case(50$), amd athlon x3 450(69.99), and 1tb seagate barracuda hdd(64.00$). I like the xfx brand when I look at all the brands, the double lifetime warranty catches my eye plus they have nice cooling systems on their cards. Also I plan to go double 6870xfx in a x-fire setup overclocked, so maybe that double lifetime warranty will come int play. When I do go x-fire, how big of a power supply would I need? Also what's the difference betwen 80+ , 80+ bronze, 80+ gold, etc.?

All the ratings refer to how efficient the design is. Basically, the better the rating, the more power it'll actually put out; I'd take a 500W Gold over an 80+ 650W, for example.

750W for 6870 Crossfire gives you substantial room for adding more HDDs, Media drives, and other goodies, as well as offering you OC room; to put it into perspective, I run 6870s Crossfired (at normal clock) on a 650W Gold PSU. If you plan to OC, I recommend you go for a solid 750W Gold-Certified PSU. That said, you may reconsider OCing... 6870s are notorious for having little OC overhead, and what little you do OC has little noticeable performance gain.
