Need some advice ASAP!!!

Hey Peepz im thinking of upgrading my custom pc after a year or so and im kinda lost abt the current hardware market. Pls advise on my specs below, im more into gaming while sticking in the budget range

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4400, 2Ghz, 775LGA
MOBO: ASUS P5KPL
Memory: Kingston 4GB, DDR 2 (2GB x 2)

It's time for a complete new system unless you still play Quake4/UT2/F.E.A.R-era games, frankly....

For those on a 'budget', despite the AMD X4 based systems being so popular these days, the i3/2100 typically provides equal or better performance at even less overall cost.

For gpu, I'd look at a 5870/6850 if possible.....

The cheapest performance combo right now is going to be i3-2100/H67.

Add some 1.5v DDR3-1333/1600 and your good to go.

However, I would recommend going with an i5 if your budget allows. If it's mostly for gaming and web browsing, the i3 will do you just fine.

It can outgame any AMD quad or hexacore out there.
