Is this a good power supply?

I had a Logisys 480w i bought for five dollars and im afraid its going to cause a nuclear disaster :o  :pfff:  :non:  :ouch:  :fou:  :cry:

I'd say it's more reliable than the Logisys by a good bit, but don't plan to run a high end video card on it. (But you knew that:) )

Yeah, seems to be pretty good. Single rail, well known brand, good reviews and a decent price. I'd recommend replacing that time bomb of a PSU as soon as possible! Lol.

Decent PSU. You wouldnt have any problems running a mid range GPU on it. Much better than the Logisys anyway.

I'd get a Antec EA430D for around the same price though. IMO Antec does a better job at budget PSU's than Corsair.

If you don't mind just paying $40 after a rebate and free shipping, then the Corsair CX500 500w PSU will give you more options for future upgrades.

The Corsair 400w PSU will probably cost you more in the long run because it is $35 and there is no free shipping option.
