My pc shuts down with no warning p4p800s motherboard

Hi, I have a P4P800S mother board. My pc shuts down with no warning sometimes after an hour and other after a few minutes. Any suggestions?

Possible a bad PSU or motherboard but first is to rule out thermal issues are all fans and heat sinks free of dust and lint.

1. Make sure that all the connectors from the power supply sit tightly in the motherboard.
2. Monitor CPU and GPU temperatures with such programs like HWmonitor or similar. Do you do something intensive when it shuts down?
3. If everything is fine with above, your power supply may be the problem.

Hi the fans are fairly clean as I blew them off recently. The cpu heat sink has a little dust but there seems to be room for air flow. It doesn't feel hot in the area.

What brand and model (not just wattage) is your PSU? How old is it? What video card do you have?
