Best memory for the new z77 chip/mobo?

I just purchased the Asus z77 sabertooth and will purchase the new 3rd gen intel next week, question is which is the best memory for gaming? i read that this mobo can handle and be stable with 2133? will this be the best option? thanks

Corsir Vengeance 1600mhz 8GB. Perfect for gaming. You can also go 16GB but that is overkill unless you do video editing stuff like that.

^+1 Agree!

Stick with DDR3-1600. Don't pay extra for "higher" speeds. 1600 is the "sweet spot" for Sandy Bridge CPU, sure it's the same for Ivy Bridge.

Nice thats only $50, but i fail to mention that i currently have the corsair xms3 8gb (4 sticks)

Just keep the ones you have , no need to upgrade them if they are compatible, you wont see much of a perfromance difference really

Well apparently my current mobo (msi bing bang xpower) is a triple channel mobo and i been using this dual channel xms3 for 2 years now..... i was always wondering why i only get 6390 score on 3dmark11....... now i know,damn n00b

At least now you know and you won't have the same problem with the Z77 as its dual channel :)

Yep, the only reason for you to get Vengence is for the looks and matching design for Sabertooth

Yeah the Vengence ram with the Gold anodised heatsink would look awesome in an Asus Z77 Sabertooth.
