Linksys WRT350N Storage link Help

So, like the title says, I've gone through formatting the drive, claiming it, setting up permissions, enabling FTP and setting up the share folders but every time I try to find the drive it doesn't show up as a network drive. Can anyone give me a heads-up on the exact steps and the order I need to go through to get this thing working? I've tried following the manual three times and still no luck; should a give up and just get a NAS? Is this a common problem? Any help would be great, THANKS!
