Good afternoon,
I need a little help in regards to memory speed, eg.
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152637 < This is rated at 1333MHz 9/9/9/24
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/178947 < This is rated at 1333MHz 7/7/7/20
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152640 < This is rated at 1600MHZ 9/9/9/24
So the ratings at the end 9/9/9/24 etc, are the speed the memory clears down, time it takes to write and read and all that stuff, and yes I know lower numbers the better.
The query I have is in regards to the 1333/1600 MHz ratings, now I know this is the speed at which the memory can send information to CPU etc, does this have any relation to the FSB/QPI on a processor has? if a x58 can only run on 1333Mhz, why produce a 1600MHz memory?
Is it so that you can overclock the processor and still be winin margins of the memory?
Im prolly not explaining myself very well here so i appoligise for that, hopefully someone will understand where I am going with this.
Help appreciated.
