I am planning on building a new computer here in the next few weeks (I wanted to build it this week, but damn Ivy Bridge is making me nervous). Im going to wait for the IB release, but unless there are some big changes to consider, I will probably be staying with the SB i5-2500k. That leads me to the next question, z68 vs z77.

These are the boards it has comes down to:

It seems like my decision is going to be based on whether I want to be an early adopter of the z77 and possibly get performance boost from the new Virtu MVP, or stick with the good old battle tested z68. I am not too concerned about waiting for some BIOS updates on the z77, but I am concerned about getting stuck with a faulty hardware revision since they just came out.

So what do you think? Does Virtu MVP and the future proofing of the z77 out weigh the risks of being an early adopter?
