Gigabyte Nvidia 8400gs No Display

Hi, im having a problem with my New Gigabyte Nvidia 8400gs graphics card.

I bought it yesterday and i put it in the PCI-e slot and connected my HDMI lead into it, it starts up and you can see on the display untill the vista loading bar goes then my monitor goes into sleep mode and then nothing happens. the computer stays running but no response from the monitor.

Can someone please help.

P.S im a bit of a newbie when it comes to computers so nice and easy steps would be great.

Did you install the drivers that came with the card? Should be on the CD. Make sure to install them first.
