So i am buying a Corsair SP2500 sound system and i am wondering what sound card i should buy to pair it. I have a budget of 150 dollars and i want the sound card to maximise the potential of the speakers but keep the price at a minimum. Thanks

Edit* If there is a better set of speakers you guys recomend please tell me as i have not bought the speakers yet

Uhhh...no. The entire Audigy line, nevermind the origional audigy line, is totally obsolete.

At the mid-range, you have three main contenders:
ASUS Xonar D1/DX [one is PCI, the other PCI-E]
HT Omega Striker

Moving up a bit:
Auzentech Prelude [for you X-fi lovers out there]
Auzentech Meridian 2G [the new one]

Above that, you have the REALLY high end cards, which are probably a bit overkill...
Creative Titanium HD [Drivers seem stable so far at least...]
ASUS Essence ST/STX [Oddly, the ST is the slightly better card. Yay for PCI I guess...]
ASUS Xonar Xense
HT Omega Claro XT
