Computer freezes after disk check

Hello,
I have an old machine that I am trying to wake up from dead. Got new hard drive and graphic card in, but once started it does normal test and detect drives, after that it just freezes with a cursor blinking. What shall I do? help!!!.

As the hard drive was replaced, I assume you reinstalled the OS... What OS are you using? What happens when you reinstall the old hard drive?
