Hi,

Just will like to get the experts' views of what graphic card to get. I dont live in the USA, so Newegg prices are largely irrevelent here. Going to list down prices( in USD) on the cards I'm eyeing.

ASUS GTX 560TI DCI OC $290
Gigabyte GTX 560TI $290
MSI GTX 560 TI TFII $300
Leadtek GTX 560TI $265

Sapphire 6950 2GB $313
XFX 6950 2GB $306

Note that I am impartial to either AMD or Nvidia cards. Temps and power consumption is a thought but not important. Gaming at 1080HD.
I know this is strange that XFX cost less than a sapphire, it puzzles me too.
All the above are reference cards some without reference coolers.

Which do you think I should get, a 560TI or 6950 2 GB? To me, the $16 difference is nothing as what I want to get is a card that gives superior performance. I don't intend to get a 6950 1 GB as its only $10 cheaper. I also don't intend to flash it to a 6970.

Just to clear up some doubts that I've read in reviews:
1) the 6970 is aimed at the GTX 570, so the 6950 does not have any direct compeititor whereas the GTX 560TI is aimed at the 6870 right? (GTX 560Ti = 6870)
2) the Giga 560ti at 1000gHz can reach a 570 performance, which is way ahead of a 6870 isn't it? Probably the performance level of a 6970? (GTX560TI OC~GTX 570)
3) does that equate a reference 560TI, OC to 950mHz, almost at GTX 570 stock, is definitely better than a 6950? (GTX560TI>6950?)

Does this mean I should definitely get a 560TI? Its a choice between the XFX6950 and ASUS 560TI.

PS: Thanks in advance for being patient:D

get that 560 leadtek for 265 if you want to save some money. if you have the money go the 6950 for sure. you mention about the 560 oc, you can also do that to the 6950 + unlock it to a 6970 with a BIOS flash. Although you risk flattening the card if you do that.

Get the 6950 as it's generally faster. You can manually overclock it a bit through the CCC.
