Hello,
My friend have HD4870 from Mac and he can give me it (because he by 5870).
I have PC with Palit HD4870 512mb videocard. Motherboard is supporting CrossFire (X58 chipset) and I think about Cross fire with those 2 videocards.
Have somebody tried to run Mac 4870 on PC and if it possible, wouldn't I have any problems with Cross Fire? May be flash (BIOS) videocars will help me?

Heres and old link that sort of explains it. From what i read you can use the mac version in a pc but not a pc version in a mac without updating the bios.

Thaks for answer =) I was at this link before, and I also found that every HD4870 could be flashed with any BIOS from another Videocard... So solid answer will come after saturday! Do not believe that it is nothing about it in internet   Sure I'm not first =)

OK, now I can confirm that Mac 4870 is successfully started on my PC without any manipulations with BIOS or drivers. All like with all videocards. Next step- CrossFire, successfully paired with Palit 4870. Thanks all of you and PC for supporting ALL electonic staff (not like in narrow Mac)
