Hi, so i yesterday ordered a new GTX 570 for my computer to replace my old GT 240.

But today i opened my case and looked at my PSU which is Modecom mc 620 carbon that has two 12volt rails that give out 20amps or so.

So should the new card work with this modecom psu or should i get a new one?

More about : psu

never heard of Modecom.. I would recommend a new 600-700 watt unit from Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, PCP&C, or Enermax,

20 amps each 12v rail or 20 amps combined?

nvidia reccomends 550w with 36 amps for reference non factory overclocked gtx570 --not saying it wont run with less but thats their reccomendation

puts you just over nvidia recommended specs--so may be ok--try it and if you have problems then get a new psu--but that one may do it

Modecom? If it has a little voltage switch, it is most likely an older, inefficient design that was also overrated. It should not be trusted for any more than 60%-70% of what is on its label.
