Hey guys, I recently ordered a build, but haven't received all the parts yet. Is this PSU, which is 550 watts enough for an i5-2500k and a GTX 560 Ti as well as overclocking such as the 2500k to 4.0GHz+? Thanks!

Thank you, I was a bit concerned after reading up on some more stuff and thought maybe 600 or 650 watts would have been needed but thanks!

Yea I think people tend to overestimate the amount of power they need. I know someone running an average level pc with a single 6850 running a 1000w psu (total overkill). I just built my pc using an antec bp550 to power a 125w phenom II cpu and a 6870 and it is running fine.

True, maybe for that specific situation you mentioned he intends to sli or crossfire later (although I still don't understand how people need 1000+ watt PSUs?)
