I recently put together a budget gaming rig and I discovered that the mobo was detecting my memory at 9-9-9-28 timings while my memory was rated at 8-8-8-24. I can change the timings manually, but there are a slew of other timing options I don't understand that may be off as well. I am running an MSi UEFI and G.Skill Ripjaws (4Gb, 1600Mhz, 8-8-8-24).

just change the timings you know the value for and leave the others on auto. Also remember that timings change with ram speed, make sure you set the timing correct for the speed your running the ram at.
