Does anybody know what the best LGA 2011 Mobo is? I know the Rampage IV Extreme is probably considered the best but I cant find it anywhere and was looking for some other options. Price is not a concern. Also should i get an x79 mobo or should i wait for the ivy bridge processors come out and get an x77 mobo. I heard ivy bridge was more focused towards macs. Idk any suggestions?

X79 is great for gaming. What will be this rig's use other than gaming?

If it is just a little I would wait for Ivy Bridge. It is coming out April 29th so not much of a wait. The best Z77 motherboard available on newegg is the Asus P8Z77 WS- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... --> it is capable of running 2 GPU's pci-e 3.0 x16/x16

And then get the I7 3770k when it comes out on April 29th.

You don't require 6 core CPUs for gaming, hence X79 isnt best suited for gaming

Well there is the i7 3820 which can be overclocked a lot contrary to what many people think. Here is a review where they overclocked the i7 3820 to 5.0ghz @1.48v. The i7 3820 is also generally faster than the i7 2600k. The only downside to it is its higher power consumption.

EDIT: I forgot to mention it also has 4 cores and 8 threads like the i7 2600k so it is not overkill for gaming.
