Ivy Bridge vs Sandy Bridge E

I want to build a gaming PC. Should i get an ivy bridge processor or a sb-e processor for gaming and other natural usage

we dont know much about the power of the ivy bridge till next week, after reputable sites test them

you don't need sandy bridge E, they are more classed for extreme users. you cannot fully utilise 6 cpu cores in a game, so just get Ivy bridge.

If you plan on using multi cards, especially 3x gpus sandy-e is the better choice. Or 2x gpus and a quality sound board etc. Otherwise ivy all the way I would suggest.

For high-end gaming Sand-E is likely to be better (quad channel support, etc). I don't plan on building my next rig until fall and I fully expect to be buying a 3930K on asus's rampage board.

edit: I echo what lemlo posted about multi-gpu setups. And also, preliminary reports (more info will come in the next few weeks ofc) suggest Ivy is actually running hotter than Sand-E's.
