I was thinking of replacing my gpu with some new stuff able to run games with some mid - high eye candy enabled. (My budget is around 150 to 170 $).
Any advice would be appreciated.

More abouthelp replacing 4850
A GTX 460 768 would be the way to go as it's a substantial improvement over your current 4850. Overclocking it will all give you some smoother frame rates as you start turning up the detail. Even so, you may want to spend a little more on a 6850 or 460 1GB.
By the way, stay away from the 460 SE 1GB. It's considerably slower than the regular 460 1GB.
