Hi there!!

I was thinking of replacing my gpu with some new stuff able to run games with some mid - high eye candy enabled. (My budget is around 150 to 170 $). :D

Any advice would be appreciated.

My system specs:

Motherboard: Foxconn H55MX-S LGA 1556

CPU: Intel Core i3 540 @ 3.07 ghz

RAM: 2x 4gb Kingston DDR3

GPU: XFX ATi Radeon HD 4850 1gb DDR3

PSU: Coolermaster 550w Xtreme Power Plus

HDD: 1x Western Digital WD5000aaks 500gb SATA-II

OS: Windows 7 x64 SP1

Screen: LG FLATRON W2243S.

Thank you.

A GTX 460 768 would be the way to go as it's a substantial improvement over your current 4850. Overclocking it will all give you some smoother frame rates as you start turning up the detail. Even so, you may want to spend a little more on a 6850 or 460 1GB.

By the way, stay away from the 460 SE 1GB. It's considerably slower than the regular 460 1GB.

i would recommend atleast a 1gb GTX 460 because his resolution is 1080p.
