OK so i am trying to keep an eye out for a new motherboard i have money so i can jump on any deal even a CPU/motherboard deal. I am in the market for a Z77 Intel board socket 1155 in the brands of Gigabyte, Asus and MSI to be paired with a dual core Sandy CPU but the prices i see for a OK motherboard is around $150ish and i want to be below $300 for the CPU and motherboard so the $150 is a bit high. The sum of the CPU and motherboard seems to be in the area of $370, is it realist to think i can get anywhere around $300 for a Gaming rig? Thank you for your all your help it is greatly appreciated!

You live near a Micro Center? If you live within driving distance, you can pick up a quad core and a Z77 mobo for around $270.
