First time build for a unit which will be used for streaming video / games and normal work station use.

I know I won't be using much wattage and have read that most power supplies work best when they're being used closer to their max wattage. Newegg has a deal on a 620W which is $19 cheaper than the 520W. Is the $19 savings worth going with the 620W, or will I see too much of a performance drop?

I was recommended the Antec High Current Gamer because I live in an apartment with no AC and this line has good ambient temp ratings. Thanks in advance for any help.

Since the 620W is $2 cheaper before rebate thanks to its free shipping its a no brainer. Both will show very similar efficiency at both idle and full load, they are close enough together that the efficiency difference between them is within the variance of a unit so its not going to make a difference.
I would definitely get the 620W. Yes, technically you are a little higher up on the efficiency curve, so perhaps you will see 1% more energy wasted (if even that). However, less load on the PSU might help it last longer since it is designed for the higher power/current.

If they were even or close in price I would recommend the upgrade - for less money, definitely.
