I have a GTX 570 1.25 GB and a GTS 250 512 MB (dedicated physx). The 'System Information' dialogue box in nvidia control panel shows 1719 MB of shared memory, which I want to reduce to zero. Is there any way by which I can achieve this.

Best solution

a b U Graphics card
a b } Memory

Nope the new versions of Windows OS automatically assign the shared memory based on the amoount of system memory in the machine there is no way of turning it off -- that said the amount shared will give priority to the system needs so it will free up any shared resources that are needed by the system so it pretty much does not matter anyway since it will not be used unless needed and if other system processes need the RAM it will be given to them first over the GPU for use.
