Overclocking RAM

To start I am running:

i5-2500
P8P67 LE rev 3.0 Asus
8 gb G Skill Sniper 1333 Mhz
Gigabyte 560 Ti 448 cores
Antec 650 W

In my EFI BIOS I change the Target RAM Speed to 1600 Mhz and when I save and reboot there are no graphics (the screen remains black). I push my MemOK button on my Motherboard (which resets memory configuration and resets the PC) and the EFI says my CPU and RAM is overclocked. My CPU is at 3370 GHz and my RAM is at 1600 MHz. If I reset my settings (RAM 1333 MHz and CPU at 3.3 GHz) it shows graphics. How do I overclock just my RAM and why doesn't the PC show any graphics. I am an overclocking noob. Any help will be appreciated.

Try an XMP profile in the BIOS

Overclocking RAM in an Intel system will get you little, if any, additional performance.

In short, it is not worth the trouble.

I just want my RAM to be a little faster. It is certified for 1600 MHz. What is an XMP profile?

I didn't post here to know if people thought it was worth the trouble. I posted to find out how to overclock my RAM.
