First time poster -- I have some experience putting these machines together, but it has been quite awhile and the tech seems to change very quickly.

Looking to put together a good MMO gaming rig, not too expensive. After much reading, here's what I'm generally looking at:

Rosewill Future Gaming Case
Intel Core i5-2500k
nVidia GeForce GTX 570
a Gigabyte or MSI Motherboard with 6GB/s and USB 3.0 support
8 GB DDR3 RAM
120GB OCZ Solid State Drive
1 TB 7200RPM 6GB/s Internal Hard Drive
DVD-RW with LightScribe Support
900W 80 PLUS Certified Power Supply
Windows 7 Home Premium

Any thoughts or advice as I take the plunge?

Approximate Purchase Date: Within a week or so.

Budget Range: About $1500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Ventrilo, Net & Mail, some Office.

Parts Not Required: Monitor, keyboard, mouse.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Familiar with New Egg, but looking all over the place.

Country of Origin: United States

Parts Preferences: Nvidia video card, Intel processor

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200 Samsung 245

Additional Comments: Building it around Star Trek Online/Later MMOs, room to expand if something else catches my fancy. Liking the Nvidia 970. Trying to make it last for three or four years. Does NOT need to glow with eerie neon light.

You should also link parts you're considering.

For ex. Rosewill PSU, very bad idea. Go with a Corsair, Antec HCP or TP, XFX or seasonic. You'll get best performance for money with one of those.

Which mobo's are you considering? If you want to SLI you'll need a dual x8/x8 PCIe slot mobo at least.

What 1tb HD? F3 or 7200.12 would be best choices

What RAM? 1.5v DDR3-1333 will suffice. G skill is a good pick.

Which OCZ SSD? The fail 25nm vertex 2? A vertex 3?
