Dell Inspiron 5100 startup problems

Model: Dell Inspiron 5100

12 months old

Power & h/d led lights blink but laptop is dead.

Brought new power lead same result.

Checked h/d in other laptop and desktop pc using adapter and it's ok.

I've checked all the connections inside the case I've tried the memory
modules one by one.

My suspicion is a dead motherboard, I have had the case apart and
there is nothing obvious there is no life in the laptop at all.

Can anyone help?
