That monitor is a popular choice and a good one at that. For your combo I'd suggest a 6950 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150530&cm_re=6950-_-14-150-530-_-Product) You can flash the 6970 bios onto it making it a great card at an affordable cost. ($275 with 30MIR).

Mmm I guess I didn't say this but I am trying to keep this build moderately cheap so are there any other cards that might still be good but more affordable?

Also if I went with that card wouldn't I need a new PSU?

Well how much performance will I lose because the card is PCI Express 2.1 but the mobo supports PCI Express 2.0

I know it should still work but I was told that it won't work to it's max.

There isn't a performance difference between 2.0 and 2.1. 2.1 supports a large proportion of the management, support, and troubleshooting systems planned to be fully implemented in PCI Express 3.0
