Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am having an issue with my motherboard. First, here are my system specs: I'm mentioning the display because this has something to do with my problem. Right now I have my memory installed in slots B1and B2 on my motherboard, the slots closest to the 24pin power connector. First of all, I don't think my motherboard is detecting my RAM in dual channel. Second, any time I move my RAM to any slots other than what I have them in right now, I don't get a display. I'm really confused by this. I would think my RAM should be able to go in any RAM slot on the motherboard. Asus customer service isn't all that great so I have found out, so that's why I'm posting in here. I thought I would see if anyone has an answer before I RMA my motherboard. Also, my monitor is connected by a dvi-hdmi cable. I don't know that this matters though.

Thanks

Have you read your MoBo Manual ?

I don't have a Sabertooth manual here but on Asus boards its typically recommended to install in the colored (not black) slots A2 and B2 which are the 2nd and 4th from the CPU.

Typical Asus Memory Install for P67 boards:

"2 DIIMS - Supports two (2) modules inserted into either the [colored] slots of the black slots as one pair of dual channel memory configuration. We recommend you install the memory into slots A2 and B2 for better compatibility."

1. Turn of computer.
2. Remove RAM
3. Install in A2 B2
4. Turn on , go into BIOS and reset all BIOS settings to default, save and exit
5. Run Memtest86+ overnight

If it doesn't work, use 1 stick at a time in A2 using same procedure.

Well I tried putting the RAM into slots A2 and B2 like the manual suggested before I even thought about posting on this site, and it still didn't detect my display. I actually ran a memtest when I noticed this happening because I was curious, and it ran 9 passes without any error. If I use only one stick of RAM, it works fine and I get a display. That's why I'm confused.
