Hey so I did the whole no-no of running two different brands and speeds of RAM. In my defense they are working fine from what I can tell and I was planning on replacing one with the other.
So I was wondering if anyone might have any voltage or timing suggestions for me with these. I will just drop the specs down.
-OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000)
-CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
-ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard
-AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W
All of my DRAM settings are on Auto and I was curious if I should change any of that to increase performance and stability. Also My comp will randomly make a beeping series that goes like this beep beep - beep beep - beep beep. It comes through the speakers and only does it every once in a while...i have restarted the comp when it does that and it usually stops. I was wondering if that may be related to the RAM some how or possibly the new sync I put on...BIOS shows the temp at a normal level so I am unsure. Thanks!
