Asus battery help

my asus laptop battery wont turn back on. the orange light comes on for about 3 seconds then cuts off. sometimes the orange light will stay on i turn on the power the blue and orange light turns on then cuts back off after for seconds.do i need a new battery or can i fix this problem?

It is possible it's your charger that's defective, not your battery.

you should be able to turn on most laptops even if the battery isnt in it--so take the battery out and try it on mains only to rule out a faulty battery
