Hi all,

I'm currently experiencing a problem with my Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 keyboard. I recently got a message on my desktop that my copy of Windows 7 was not genuine, which I fixed by going to the Microsoft website and getting their Genuine Version Checker (paraphrased).
It made the "Build 7601: this copy of Windows is not genuine" message go away, but now my "Windows Logo" key brings up a little pop-up message saying "Key disabled" every time I press it.

I've recently had some fairly serious issues with my keyboard, in that several of the keys stopped working completely (p [ ] Home End Alt) but I just fixed it this morning by grounding the conductive plate inside the keyboard case. Every key now works fine with the exception of the Windows key.

Does anyone have any insight as to whether this is a hardware issue or something to do with my copy of Windows?
