So I recently crashed my PC and re-installed windows 7 to try and trouble shoot the mass of different bsod's i have been getting. I got everything re-installed and updated to SP1 with no new updates available. Pretty much right away I got another bsod so I decided to format my windows drive and try again this time take it step by step to try and narrow down the bsod's. Well now I am still getting them with very little installed, so I am either getting very close or I am completly screwed... quit sad as my rig is only 2 months old. But as for the reasoning to my post, for whatever reason I can not get SP1 to show up on the updates list, like it did last time. Any ideas as to why, or what I need to do to get it installed again?

===========================================================================

I also had the problem where sp1 did not show up under Windows update. I found this article from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2498452#method4
In my case, I had to update my integrated graphics driver and then sp1 showed up for me.

Also, on your BOSD, it sounds like it might be hardware related...
