Mobo supports 800 mhz fsb and memory DDR-SDRAM 400 mhz (chipset 1), intel celeron 2.8 g installed. Thinking of putting a pentium P4 3.2+ ghz cpu in.
Is it worth it, will it go faster and how much faster ?

Unless you find the replacement CPU for $15, I'd try to avoid sinking any more money into it....

The P4/3.2/800 won't seem significantly faster anyway, unless you are hoping to play older games such as Quake4, Doom3, etc....

Hi, That's the thing I did find a CPU for about $15 dollars, thanks for the reply, like they say that's the rub.
One question what is the difference with socket A and 478, thanks again.
