Im thinking of replacing my 19" LCD monitor for a 24" one
I found one (in australia) for $180 (aus $$$)
http://www.dcomponline.com.au/productview.asp?proid=816...

im not 100% sure if i should get it but 1400 X 900 looks crappy in games...
specs are in my sig. and im running crysis 2 (demo), Dragon age 2 (demo), bulletstorm and other new releases.
I dont care about AA and im ok at running at low - medium graphic settings

That GTX 460 you have will do fine for 1920x1080 so it should be a pretty nice upgrade for you, you can keep your 19" around as a second monitor, i have a 19" and a 21.5" on my 4850, it works out well.

My 19" is 1280x1024, my 21.5" is 1920x1080, my 4850 can handle most things on medium-high at 1920x1080 with acceptable FPS.

I have a phenom II 955 @ 3.4GHz for now.

I only game on the 21.5" monitor, i use the 19" for IM clients and a web browser while im in game, its not a significant performance hit, it only seems to be a couple FPS.

ok...
i know that at higher resolutions the GPU is more important then the CPU in games.
BUT the higher the resolution the lower the performance
Will my E8500 with a GTX 460 be enough?
If not id rather save my money... but i want a bigger monitor SOOO bad....
i wish i had more disposable income....

The GTX 460 is a fair bit more powerful than my 4850, you might not be able to max stuff out but you should be able to do high on most things you come across, the second monitor is a pretty insignificant load so it doesnt much matter, and i really dont mind slightly lower detail, the bigger monitor is a nice increase, going from a 19" to a 24" should be pretty impressive.

'pretty impressive'???
ive never seen anything in 1080P before (except TV but i rarely watch so i never notice)
is 1080P really that good? I heard 1900 X 1200 was supposed to be better but the prices for those are not worth it

I think the screen size is going to be one of the biggest things, it was for me, it seems more immersive, you will also be moving to a screen with 65% more pixels which means finer detail so things look a little nicer, but just being bigger is nicer too.
