Wireless Challenge

I dont know if this is the right forum, but here goes. I just moved, and now i have an office and my living room, where in the past, i lived in a studio so my computer was my source of music via mp3's. Is there a way to be able to control my computer (iTunes mostly) from the living room? The dining room is inbetween the two, and there are two walls for a wireless signal to go through, so i dont know if it would make it. I was thinking of using an s-video to my tv in the livingroom to see what is going on with my computer, and then a wirless mouse to control everything, but there has to be something designed for this....any ideas?

ATI makes a usb wireless RF remote. I'm not sure if it has a plugin for iTunes but it would definatly work well for what you want
I'm sure someone out there has made an iTunes plugin for it by now.

Look up the ATI remote wonder.
