So, here's what my desktop looks like- http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/1628/dekstop.png I got the "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered" multiple times so the first thing I did was wipe all the video drivers and install the latest one which had no effect.

Then I reseated the card in the motherboard and changed out the power connectors to make sure that it was not power related. After that did not work I did a system restore, still didn't work and then after doing a restore from a system image, everything seemed to be back to normal. I played some games for a while and everything was fine, and i made sure to monitor the temps and they never went above about 60C.

Today when I turned on my computer I got the same messed up screen, so i tried another restore from system image. This time it didn't work and nothing I have tried since then has worked.

Both times it has happened everything was working fine, then I put the computer to sleep, and upon waking it up the messed up screen was there.

Has anyone seen a similar problem? My first thought was overheating because it just seems like artifacting. Anyways does anyone have any suggestions of a possible fix?

Thanks for any help.

http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ Download Driver Sweeper and sweep ONLY THE DISPLAY DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!! When you sweep, make sure you are running in safe mode. After you sweep the drivers, download the latest AMD drivers. Hope it works! ;)
