I have an Acer Aspire laptop computer I bought 3 months ago. 4 times the computer has crashed, saying it has to shut down. Unable to read the remainder of the screen because it takes me to the Acer Screen. It stays there until I press the F2 key. Plz help. Am disabled/homebound & need the computer to stay sane! Tk u

Tk uTry booting into Safe Mode and select "Disable Auto restart on System Failure"

LOL Merry Christmas!That alone, will most likely not solve your problem, but it should stop the automatic reboot. If you get a blue screen, write down the stop code, and you will have to search for it on the web. Most likely you have corrupted system files of some sort, and will have to find a way to restore, like from the CD to repair-install.
hi. Go to start /run (or task manager/new task) and type perfmon /rel and press enter leave a space between the n and / This will bring up a chart giving you information on applications that are causing problems Have a look to see which it is and if you cant fix it,let us know and we will see what we can do
