your question was solved on another web page they gave you the part numbers for the laptop service parts.
as one uses posted the service part number or you. as this is not a desktop you have to use a compaq replacement service part.
i would check with compaq to see if your unit is still under warranty.

I'm talking about if i wanted to replace it. I have a Compaq Presario CQ62-210Us case and need a motherboard. The stock motherboard for it is a 616448-001 but i want something better.

you have to look at the compaq mb that they make and see if any wil fit the case you have. the problem is laptop are made for that model laptop. some times your lucky and the vendor uses a stock mb that fits 3 or 4 models.
that why when people build computers it mostly desktop because of all the stock standard parts out there.
