ASRock/Lancool PC-K62 Front Audio Header

Hi, I just finished building my home system:

1. Lian-Li Lancool PC-K62
2. ASRock P67 Extreme 4
3. Intel i7-2600K (not yet over-clocked)
4. Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)

Here's my problem; not sure if it's the MoBo or the Case. But, I'm not getting any sound out of the front audio ports. The connections look good. On the PC-K62, the cable to the front audio ports terminate with both a HD Audio and a AC'97 connectors. I have the HD Audio plugged into the MoBo. I haven't run the ASRock drivers CD, since the OS install took care of most of it. Am I missing drivers? I do get sound from the rear ports. Has anyone seen this problem? How do I go about troubleshooting this. Thanks for your help.

I think you do need to use your mobo's cd for the realtek drivers. You did right with the HD Audio and there is only one way you can put it on so I'm pretty sure running teh CD will solve it.

HI, thanks. I did find a solution. It turns out I had to set HD Audio to "Enable" in BIOS. It had defaulted to "Auto."
