Sapphire HD 6950 Overheat

Hello fella...

I want to know.. i just brought new card sapphire HD 6950 2G and unlock it to 6970...

The problem is i just play game dead space for 5 minute and my card temperatus are 73 Celcius.. its that alright or my card have a problem.? And i use Win xp as my O.S...

Hmm, from my experience 73C is not bad. My 6870 goes up to 85C using benchies like Heaven and Furmark so don't worry about 73C in game.

Are sure... I stop my game cause worry it will damage my card. because my old 5770 with overclocking just reach 53C. So first time this happen at me i scare..

Ok lian... What temperatures of card that we need to shut it down for a while...? Or what are the limit temperatures card can go..?

90+ Celsius is high in my opinion but some cards have been known to run standard at temps higher than that. A safe bet would be anything mid 80 and under @ full load.

Run Furmark or a bench similar to find your cards max temps. Games don't normally reach max temps anyway so don't worry to much.
