FPS drop with new Radeon 6950?

So i returned my old Sapphire 6950 2GB and got a new Gigabyte 6950 2GB. But when I started to play games on the new video card, I noticed that I was getting incredibly lower FPS. Is there any reason for this? Because it's very frustrating.

1920x1200 highest settings, 8x AA, 16x AF HBAO off and i'm getting around 20-35 fps. with my old 6950, i got around 50+fps

i'm running a Phenom II x4 965 oc'ed to 4.0 gHZ and Gigabyte HD6950 2GB if that helps.

Turn your anti-aliasing down to 4x and see what happens, although I'm not sure if they were using the 2GB model or 1GB model in this test nor do I know which CPU they had.

yes but shouldn't i be getting around the same FPS because both 6950s i used were reference designs, same clock speeds, etc. and the bad company 2 settings were the same as well. and when i turn the AA down to 4x.. it's still not much better. around 30-40 fps

This is going to be a driver issue. Uninstall current drivers, now try the driver that came with the new card. They will be older but will work.

are you sure it's the drivers? since every other game i tried works properly with high fps.

ok so i switched the bios switch and now BC2 works perfectly. now my other games like tf2 and black ops are having issues... any idea? even my old HD 4870 got better fps than the new 6950 in tf2 and black ops :/
