Q8400 Bottleneck

Hey, would my q8300 2.5ghz processor bottleneck two GTX570 running SLI?
I'm planning to buy the two cards this week.

Yes, your CPU will hold the cards performance...
I would say bump (OC) a little bit your CPU, at least 3.0GHz then you're good... :)

reading other threads it seems people are having performance drops after even upgrading from 9800gt's to single gtx560's with core 2 CPU's. this does confusem me as i wouldnt expect that. I think it is bull and there must be something else wrong with their setups, but you never know.

Yes I have read other threads, and I myself also think it's BS. But even so, I can't help feeling a bit edgy about upgrading.

thanks! But could you post a link to a decent tutorial for overclocking CPUs?

Well I have a Q6600 at 2.4GHz that i'm gonna OC to at least 3GHz and run a single GTX 560, so I guess this answers my bottleneck question... although almost every thread like this has a different response.
