Hi all,

My budget for this PC is around $400. I have tried to come up with a rig but each time I'm over $100 to $200. I would like to get your opinion for a budget pc.

I want to build a computer from scratch that is primarily for video editing. The program I have is Adobe Premier Pro and here is a list of its hardware requirements:

Intel® Core™2 Duo or AMD Phenom® II processor; 64-bit support required
2GB of RAM (4GB or more recommended)
7200 RPM hard drive for editing compressed video formats; RAID 0 for uncompressed
1280x900 display with OpenGL 2.0-compatible graphics card
Adobe-certified GPU card for GPU–accelerated performance;
Adobe-certified card for capture and export to tape for SD/HD workflows
OHCI-compatible IEEE 1394 port for DV and HDV capture, export to tape, and transmit to DV device
Sound card compatible with ASIO protocol or Microsoft Windows Driver Model
DVD-ROM drive compatible with dual-layer DVDs (DVD+-R burner for burning DVDs; Blu-ray burner for creating Blu-ray Disc media)

I need everything except for software. I already have windows 7 64 bit and the adobe master collection. Also, I would rather go with an AMD processor to help lower the cost and get the best value.

thanks guys

If you want to game you can add later a video card. You can also try some good free video editors like Handbrake or Avidemux.

Tghis is a pretty good build, and ahs all of the elements needed for a multimedia. It is almost impossible to include a descreet graphics card with your budget but still is an awsome build!
