So, reset the BIOS, remove all the RAM and the battery for 10 seconds. Install all again and try.

Are you sure that you don't bend a CPU pin?

Just to be clear, you are not reseating memory with the unit shutdown, but, with power present at the rear of the PSU? (Small voltages present at several points in the MB, not safe for reseating any components in this condition, FYI)

(windows can't repair this computer automatically)= built in recovery

(your version of windows is not compatible with the disk version)= the windows 7 disk a friend gave me and the same disk that installed windows on my pc with ease

okay try booting with the core unlocked
using just one memory stick at a time
try each memory stick by itself

I think your vcore is too high
you have it at 1.42 at stock 3.2
in this article
the author has his 555 unlocked running OCd to 3.6 with only 1.392 vcore
http://www.anandtech.com/show/2927

try setting your vcore down to the 1.38- 1.39 range

also looking at this
http://pcwizkidstechtalk.com/index.php/phenomii-555-rev...

they have the voltage at 1.42-1.43 with at 3.6ghz OC

so at stock 1.42 is high

look at the video
at about 4:40 it shows bios settings with the 555 x 4 OCd to 3.6

and take a look at NB settings also in that video

i think its a windows problem because i tried to over clock the cpu to 4ghz on 1.36v and it bsod's the system

i find if my ram is set to fast windows halts at the win7 logo , just as the balls apear and start moving about a second later the pc locks up.
so remove any oc set you system to stock remove any ram that is mismatched and try again...
your ram may be the same speed but is it the same latency. if not then you may have damaged the mem controller so go back to your original config and try that... if it works then you need to run a mem test as 1 or more of the sticks is unstable.

August 12, 2011 3:52:00 AM

try clearing CMOS by removing motherboard battery (with tower unplugged)
for 30 seconds and going back to defaults
is an idea
but I would like to hear hexits opinion on that
August 13, 2011 6:04:23 PM

i just tried to boot windows with the b55 but with the 2 extra cores disabled and it did the same results for the 2 enabled

this sounds more like a windows problem
