Hi everybody again ! As some may know i have been trying to build a budget PC system , mainly targeted at gaming ! So i have already bough ASRock H67M mobo , Intel Pentium G840 and Corsair CX 430 builder series v2 power supply . And what i want to know is , is Intel Pentium G840 processor a good buy ? Will it handle all the games i throw at it ( I think so ) ? I've heard that it is better than Intel Pentium E8400 , is that also true or false ? And will my new power supply support well cards like AMD Radeon Club 3D HD 6790 well ? And does the Club 3D only have 1 PCI-e 6-pin slot ? I will also have 1 TB Western Digital blue 7200 rpm sata 3 HDD and 4 GB Kingston 1333 MHz Ram module :bounce:

The CPU is va very good gaming CPU for the price and you can play any game on it and yes its better than an E8400 (And 3 generations of chip newer). As for the power supply a 500W one is recommended for a 6790, you bought a good brand so it may be OK but if you can still return it then do. BTW I have never seen a 6790 at a reasonable price how much are you paying for it?

For a budget build, I think you are doing well.

I had not heard of club 3d before. It appears that they have a quite high psu requirement for a 6790,
A minimum 500w psu, and recommend a 600w psu:
http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/pro...

A comparable card, the GTX550ti needs only
400w with 24a on the 12v rails plus one 6-pin PCI-E power lead.
The corsair 430 CX is a great unit that will handle it. On sale at a good price too.

Thank you all for you'r replies ! That did help me out quite a bunch , now i can be happy about the changes that i will have ! :)  And i picked the Club 3D card because it is like 30 or 40 $ cheaper here than a sapphire one ( These two are mostly the ones available in my country , i dont know , maybe xfx is somewhere too , but still trying to look fora price that fits my budget ) and it only has 1 pci-e s6 pin slot connector . The others have 2 pci-e 6 pin slot connectors , i know there is a molex cable or some kind thatyou connect and on the other side , there is the 6 pin connector ! And in any cases i want to notice you guys that in my country , the cost for a PC is just dull ! Sometimes its good , sometimes its 50/50 , sometimes it's overpriced ! And i just looked up a GTX 550 ti and found some good cards for the same price as the Club 3D , but which sould be better to get , a HD 5770 or HD6770 ( which is rebranded but does have some differences ) or a GTX 550Ti :)

Thats not relevant to anything as you can overclock the Phenom but not the Pentium so the only time they will run at the same clock is if you underclock the Phenom.
