Actually, the HDD and CD-ROM are a few years old. This is what I purchased:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
video card: ATI Radeon HD 6850
RAM: OCZ 4 GB 1333 MHz
mobo: BIOSTAR TA785G3

and I use Windows 7 64-bit. Any other info. about my build you need let me know. I did some overclocking a couple of months ago with the new CPU, mobo, and RAM. I hadn't bought the new video card yet. I may have damaged the CPU and I want to test the CPU using Prime 95 to see how long each core lasts before they fail, but I can't keep the display on long enough to do this. It goes black after I use it for 20 minutes or so. It periodically goes to the BSOD. Would a damaged CPU cause a display malfunction? Is it possible that I don't have enough RAM? Please tell me what steps I can take to solve this problem.
