ASrock Z68 or P67

I am willing to spend a couple bucks more between the following motherboards:

is the extra money worth it?

  1. Def Z68. your z68 e3 g3 board has pcie2/3.0 compatibility, so any card will work. That board is also a great board for Overclocking, and packed with features. One of my fave boards ever :D
  2. any card will work on a pci-e 2.0 slot as well.

question really is, do you care about quicksync? it lets you transcode videos CONSIDERABLY faster than any other alternative. if u do care, get the z68

Yeah i was planning on rendering videos with this computer i just also wanted to make sure the gtx 550 ti would work with the 3.0 slots
  4. yeah it should work fine, though i have heard some compatibility issues with 3.0.

if you are planning on transcoding, then get the z68 so you can use quicksync
  5. Been building computers for about 10 years. Get this it may be a little more expensive but worth it. Everyone will look at you like your god.
